Kelso, famously described by Sir Walter Scott as “the most beautiful if not the most romantic of villages” is actually a town in the Scottish Borders.
Kelso is in a favourable location.
King David I of Scotland founded his Abbey in Kelso in the 12th Century which contributed to the prosperity of the town. Kelso is much sought after as a place to live and has good amenities such as the Primary Schools •Broomlands and •Edenside and the newly built • High School. The town also has facilities such as the • Health Centre, • Hospital, • Library, • Community Centre and • Men’s (and women’s) Shed.
