Tim D. Taylor

Tim is a Director, Solicitor and Notary Public at Hastings Legal, with responsibility across the legal and property sides of the business. He leads the legal team in Kelso, manages a full client caseload, and plays a key role in the wider leadership of the firm — including as Cashroom Partner and Recruitment Partner.

His workload includes both residential and commercial conveyancing, Wills, Powers of Attorney, agricultural law, and an overview of general practice law.

Tim’s approach is grounded in clear advice, calm leadership, and a strong belief in supporting both clients and colleagues through important decisions and difficult situations.
After working at a global law firm based in Glasgow for 3 years, Tim joined Hastings Legal as a Trainee Solicitor in the firm’s Duns office in 2016, before progressing through the ranks to the position of Associate Solicitor, and then Director.

Tim attaining a First Class Law Degree (LLB Honours) from Edinburgh Napier University and a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Edinburgh.

Based locally with his young family, Tim works between the firm’s Kelso and Coldstream offices, and has long-standing family roots in the Scottish Borders. When not at work or spending time with his family, Tim can be found running, hillwalking and coaching youth football for Coldstream Juniors FC.
