Ruth Davidson

Ruth joined Hastings Legal in 2015 and is now Director of Property and Senior Valuer for the Central Borders. She has been central to expanding the firm’s client base, combining extensive valuation expertise with clear, practical advice and strong leadership of the property team.
A certified member of the Chartered Institute of Housing with additional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ruth brings a well-rounded professional skill set to her role. She is known for her direct, knowledgeable approach and her focus on delivering tailored solutions that reflect local market conditions.

Outside of work, she is deeply rooted in the Borders community. A leading lady with GAOS Musical Theatre, she combines her passion for performance with a busy family life as a working mum. She also has a strong personal interest in property renovation, building, and eco-renewables, inspired by her family’s long-standing involvement in the building industry.
